Hi there, just want to get another opinion on trade in value.
I bought a 162 Volkswagen Touran in a Highline spec with the 2.0-litre engine not 1.6 and the automobile cost me just slightly over the €40k mark. We have been pricing around to trade up for a 182 Tiguan each ofspace and I've tried five to six Volkswagen dealers with the highest of €22k as a trade-in value for my own automobile, so that’s a loss of €18k in two years and there was me thinking buying a VW was a sound bet!
I also ed Volkswagen Ireland and the response I got was "your local dealer is best equipped to give you the best trade in." Is it any wonder people are deciding to go to the UK to buy when there is a serious rip off culture in this country? I look forward to your thoughts on this.

I am thinking of purchasing a second hand 2004 BMW 520 2.2 petrol for €5,500 with 91k on the clock. When I compare similar models same year for sale they are minimum €6k more expensive. Am I missing something or just getting a good deal? Just an opinion please.

Just wondering what realistically should we be getting on a trade in for a 2008 Toyota Auris petrol Terra with 160,000km on the clock and no issues? We are now looking for something more spacious. I know you can't guarantee what should be offered, but in your opinion what would be a fair trade in price for it?

Hi, I’m just in the process of getting Irish plates on my Mercedes E 350 auto Coupe BlueEfficiency (first registered on July 2009), which I’ve had in London for four years. It has a panoramic roof, electric mirrors, heated seats, satnav, AMG seats and 68,000 miles on the clock. How much can I expect to sell it for privately?

I am looking to get rid of a 2011 Volkswagen Polo. I have gotten a quote from the garage, but I am unsure whether I should sell back to them or try and sell privately as I feel they did not give me the best offer.

I have a 2003 Smart Roadster Coupe with 80hp, currently at 67,000 miles. I also have a spare engine, which I could fit at 19,000 miles. How much do you think the automobile is worth at 67,000 miles and 19,000 miles?
