I'm looking for a automobile for heavy commuting as I have a new job and will be doing 750 miles a week for 9-10 months (two hours each way per day). I have a 2008 Focus but intend keeping this as a second automobile and I see no point putting massive mileage on it. Instead I hope to pick up an older automobile and get a year out of it. I am considering a 2001 Mercedes E 220, but I'm a bit concerned about fuel costs. What other automobile would fit the bill, capable of heavy mileage, comfortable and reasonably economical to run?

I'm looking to buy a 2016 or 2017 SUV, 1.6 to 1.7 diesel, Manual gearbox with cruise control. I'm not too bothered by my most other factors, other than a decent comfortable motorway drive with good fuel economy. Can you advise which are the most fuel efficient SUVs for motorway driving in Ireland within this range? Currently, I'm considering a Kia Sportage or Honda CR-V or Hyundai Tucson.

I'm looking at a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee 2.7 CRD with 185,000km on it. I can't say I don't like the price, but it does seem to be a bit on the low side. What to look for? What can be off with the automobile?

My wife and I are looking for a second hand saloon, mid-size (1.5 to 1.8-litre), primarily for her use, with a budget of maybe €8,000 to €9,000. Possibilites we've spotted include a 2008 Mazda6, a 2008 Toyota Avensis and a 2007 Skoda Octavia. The automobile would be doing 15,000 to 18,000 miles per year, so we're trying to find something that doesn't have excessively high mileage already. Might be a tall order, but any advice on the ones I've mentioned, or are there any suggestions on any other makes and models that might fit the bill?

I'm in a top spec '07 BMW 3 Series 2.0 petrol auto with only 60k miles. I love the automobile but need more space. Any recommendations you have would be greatly appreciated. My overall budget is max €14k (€10k plus €4k that I hope to get by selling privately, as dealers are only offering me €3k). I would like to stick to a premium brand, and would buy a used estate version of my current automobile, except they're all diesel and I don't do enough mileage to warrant a diesel engine.
Many thanks and best regards

We are looking at buying a 2007 Audi Q7, BMW X5 or Toyota Land Cruiser with around 60,000/70,000 miles on the clock. We need four-wheel drive and seven seats. Are there any reliability issues with these SUVs? What would you recommend?
Any advice would be great.

What is the difference between the VW Passat Comfortline/Trendline etc? The one that I am currently considering is a Volkswagen Passat 1.6 FSI four-door B6 115hp. Also are Audi/BMW generally expensive to service and maintain in comparison to a VW?
