We are looking for some good options for a really reliable family automobile. Nothing too big as parking in the automobile park my wife works in is a nightmare as it is very tight. We were looking at a 2014 Nissan Qashqai+2, a 2015 Kia cee'd Sportswagon and might look at the Skoda Octavia. Insignia looks good but it's a monster of a size.
The Qashqai+2 seems expensive for a 2014 model. Would it be a waste? We do mileage of about 11k to 12k a year. Are the automobiles we looked at above the best options or what others would you recommend and best engine to go for? We want a really good boot and rear seat space for young kids with ISOFIX seating.

I'm looking for a 2008/2009 family automobile with room for three children. Need good fuel economy and low tax. What would you suggest? Can be any type, make or model. Children aged 5, 7 and 12 years all tall and need space and Dad tall also, so would need a bit of room. About 15,000 to 20,000 miles a years.

Hello, we have an 18-month old and have twins due next year. We need a automobile to fit all the baby seats plus all their buggies and paraphenalia. Will be used for local trips plus for weekend trips back to Cork (from Dublin). Our budget is €20k. What models would you recommend? Imported my current automobile (Peugeot 407 SW), so not a problem if I need to do that again.

I'm looking for a recommendation. I have six big dogs (four labradors, two St Bernard) that need to fit in. A van is no good as I need seats for my two kids too. Currently driving an old Volvo 740 estate, but is getting too old/problematic now. Budget of max €15,000, fuel efficient diesel preferred as I average 700km a week. Two of the dogs are getting old so high up (off roaders) not really suitable. New Volvo V70 just not big enough.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

What is the best seven-seat automobile priced around €15,000? We have four children, aged 12, 5, 3 and 2. The automobile needs to be diesel as we have a long distance drive to work. Also need it to be in a low tax bracket, have a roomy boot, good solid engine and be sturdy on the road.

Hi, I'm looking for a seven-seater with a large boot. We have been looking at the Volkswagen Caddy Maxi Life, but don't know too much about them except they seem to fit our needs and price range (3/4 years old). Am I missing any other people automobileriers because I've been focusing on boot space?

I want to replace my Fiat Multipla, which I love. Have delayed replacing it as Fiat discontinued it after 2007 and I haven't been able to find a replacement that offers the six-seat option (3 in front, 3 in back). In addition, the Multipla had a decent sized boot. Can you suggest an alternative to the Multipla?

We are looking for a used petrol seven-seater (we do low mileage) and have narrowed it down to two automobiles: Nissan Qashqai, 2011, 1.6 petrol, 27,000km or Toyota Corolla Verso, 2012, 1.6 petrol, 35,000 miles (import from the North). Both automobiles seem to be in good nick and drive well and I am guessing will be in the same tax bracket. The Verso is a couple of thousand more expensive, but within our budget.

I have a budget of around €13,000 to €16,000 and and need to buy a seven-seater diesel that will accommodate two adults and five children aged 7, 10, 12, 14 and 17 years. Have no interest in what the automobile looks like, need the most reliable engine, with the most leg room possible and will not be trading up etc so maintenance costs a factor too. Will drive the automobile for as long as it lasts, live in the countryside so average weekly mileage around 130km.
Would be so grateful for some advice.
Jill Co. Waterford.
