My automobile has one year on its NCT, but is not damaged and will be scrapped. Can I transfer the NCT or get money back? It's a 2003 Citroen Xsara 1.4.

I bought a automobile from a garage and they say it has a one-year NCT on it, though they had to register the new number plate from UK to an Irish one and told me the NCT disc would be sent to me. I have taxed and insured the automobile, but no NCT disc has arrived; what should I do?

If the engine management light is on will my automobile fail its NCT or will they refuse to test the automobile? I have read online some people saying it will pass and others saying it's a fail, but only on diesal automobiles. I know in the NCT requirements on dash warning lights it doesn't mention the engine management light.
