Just found out my 2012 Volvo S60 needs a new gearbox. Will I be at a loss if I use an independent garage rather than a main dealer when I come to sell it?

Just wondering which automobile is best to buy for a swivel front seat passenger as my sister has difficulty getting from her wheelchair to the passenger seat. I thought a swivel seat may help. I drive a Passat, but I was told these are not suited for swivel seats.

I am looking to trade in my beloved 152 Audi A4 2.0 for something a bit bigger in the boot etc. Have been in a 162 Audi Q5, which was quite nice, and familiar, but am considering a Skoda Karoq too. Any guidance? What engine would you recommend in the Karoq? I like the idea of the 1.6 DSG, but would I feel too short changed in it coming from a 2.0-litre manual?

I'm looking for a family automobile and have two children under three.
I've had coupes (currently in an Audi A5) all my life so ideally I'd like to switch it up and get an SUV. I'm at a loss of what to get - I'd love the Volvo XC90 and can afford it, but the pragmatic side of me is telling me not waste a huge amount of money on a depreciating asset like that, no matter how great it is.
On the other end of the scale I think the Hyundai Santa Fe is a great looking automobile, but I can't stand the plasticky feeling of the interior and the ugly interior layout. Do you have any recommendations that would allow me to keep the luxury feel of my Audi, but not cost the earth like the Volvo?
Or... do I just compromise and get a 3-4-year-old Audi A6 Avant estate?

I'm thinking of importing a 2013 Lexus RX 450h F Sport with 64,000 miles on the clock; any idea of the VRT on that?
Many thanks, Robert.

I'm thinking of getting a 2002 Audi TT that has 120k miles on it. Two questions - is this mileage worrying for a automobile like an Audi TT? Also, is this automobile incredibly heavy on petrol?

I'm looking at getting a diesel Ford Mondeo, 1.8 or 2.0... For my price range (up to €10-11k) there are plenty available, but should I worry about a automobile that has 90-110k miles on the clock? Also, what about importing from the UK? Seems you can get a good example there for £6k - with the VRT on top I think it would still work out to be pretty decent.
