I have roughly €10k to spend on a used automobile and I was hoping you might help with my choice. My requirements are: I drive 50,000 kilometers annually (work mainly) so a diesel would be essential; I have two children so a saloon sized automobile or bigger would be needed; and I really like a automobile with generous extras. Have you any ideas what might fit my need?
Thanks so much.

Why do automobile dealers make a farce of automobile advertising by continuing to advertise automobiles that have long been sold? I sent two emails to a Ford dealer in Cork expressing interest in a automobile. I got no answer. I telephoned and was told that the automobile was well gone and they muttered something about a problem with their emails as an excuse for not replying.
This particular ad is still on serveral sites including the dealer's own site. What is the point of following up and wasting time with chasing these automobiles?!

For a couple in their 60s trading under scrappage, which of the following would you recommend: Ford Focus Style, Peugeot 308 or Hyundai i30? We eliminated the VW Golf on the basis of price.

I am trying to decide what small automobile is best for me to buy. I currently own a 2007 Nissan Micra and I like the look of the new model. It has more rear passenger room and boot space as well as Bluetooth. I have also read a review stating that the Hyundai i10 is better overall. I think the i10 is bit small space wise and think the i20 would be better. However I heard Hyundais are not reliable. I disliked driving the new Opel Corsa. The Volkswagen Golf/Polo and Toyota Auris are also too expensive for me.
What do you recommend?
