I have an old automobile with an NCT 1/11 and it was last insured on 09/2009. The automobile never got sold and was not used for 17 months. Is the automobile still eligible for the scrappage scheme?

Hello Paddy, How are registrations allocated to dealers especially in early January?
Are they issued individually or in blocks?

I'm moving to England and will have a 100-mile round-trip commute each day. I currently drive a 2006 Ford Mondeo Platinum 1.8-litre petrol, but will be selling that. What would be the best diesel automobile to buy with a budget of around £3,000 sterling?

We are changing our automobile under the scrappage scheme. We were looking at diesel estates such as the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer and the Skoda Superb Combi. The Superb Combi is well priced but it has a 1.6 TDI engine, which I think maybe too small for the automobile. The Opel is more expensive and you lose space and it is not as well specced. Or should I look at something else?

Hi, my '05 Skoda Octavia 1.9 TDI is giving trouble lately. It loses power and even cuts out, but starts up again. I heard they have a wiring loom problem. Could this be the problem?

My '05 VW Caddy (new shape) was recently stolen. They some how hot-wired it and drove off with it. Caddys have a coded key ignition and I have both keys and they had to break a window to get in, so how did they start it?

I am a 24-year-old man looking for my first automobile. I am looking for something of medium size, medium to small engine and a solid automobile. I was just wondering is it a good idea to go to automobile auctions or are they a bit of a gamble. Or what could you recommend with a budget of a maximum of €4k?

If you've driven the new Audi A6, does it have the horrible off-set clutch pedal like the A4 / A5?
